Bowyer Pays Tribute to Mark Martin

July 25th 2017

Clint Bowyer announced today that he’ll be throwin’ it back to the late 1980s when the No. 14 Ford Fusion takes the green flag at Darlington Raceway in this year’s Bojangles’ Southern 500.

During the Official Throwback Weekend of NASCAR®, the Stewart-Haas Racing driver will pedal the No. 14 Carolina Ford Dealers Ford Fusion – a nod to Mark Martin’s classic paint scheme of the same name that he raced from 1988 to 1991.

Bowyer and Martin unveiled the car together this morning at the NASCAR Hall of Fame.

“It’s all about Mark,” Bowyer said. “When you think about my heroes and the people that I really looked up to in this sport, Mark was at the top of the list. He was my teammate in 2012 and it meant so much to me to race alongside him back in the MWR days.”

Both old and new race fans alike are going to want to add this throwback Lionel Racing die-cast to their collections. Each 1:24 scale car features an opening hood, an authentic decal package, retro Goodyear tires, and more.

This die-cast is also available in a precisely designed 1:64-scale model.
